“Last mile” eco-delivery

Ecolotrans is the first provider of ‘last mile refrigerated delivery’ by electric vehicle. While remaining profitable, the company increased its sales tenfold between 2010 and 2017.

Ecolotrans focused on early stage apprenticeship. The company has trained around fifty apprentice driver-deliverers in the last mile delivery trade, two-thirds of whom were subsequently recruited on permanent contracts. Among these young people, many are school-dropouts who have now integrated a company with extremely low staff turnover.
