Alternego raises €4.5m from IMPACT partners to consolidate its leadership in HR consulting against discrimination and suffering at work
Paris, February 2, 2023 – AlterNego, an HR consulting and training firm, is opening up its capital to IMPACT partners, in order to pursue its development and strengthen its social impact.
Alternego, a pure player in HR support
Founded in 2010 by 3 experts in social dialogue and negotiation, Alternego is a multidisciplinary HR consultancy that has built a solid reputation thanks to its approach combining research and action, but also through its publications and studies on its expertise.
In the course of its development, the firm has progressively extended its activities at the request of its clients in order to become a reference player in the world of work and its profound changes. The firm is now organised around four major areas of expertise: Negotiation and Conflict Management, Social Dialogue and Quality of Life and Working Conditions (QLWC), Diversity & Inclusion, Management and Cooperation.
The group currently supports the management of more than 170 companies, including major groups, public bodies and associations. With its expertise, the company also reaches out to decision-makers (comex, managers) on diversity and inclusion issues in order to fight against discrimination in hiring and promotion. In particular, they have developed strong legitimacy in situations of sexist and sexual violence.
In order to accelerate its growth (organic and external) and increase its impact on well-being at work tenfold, AlterNego decided to join forces with IMPACT, a social investment fund.
The group aims to triple in size by 2026.
“We welcome Impact Partners to our adventure. This arrival is a great opportunity to accelerate our growth and strengthen our presence in the HR consulting market, while our ambition remains the same: to become the reference firm for understanding and supporting the profound changes in the world of work. Philippe Emont, Founding Partner
Work: a strong social issue
Impact Partners is once again investing in the world of human resources, a veritable toolbox for improving practices and the quality of life at work.
This new operation is in line with IMPACT Partners’ historical strategy of supporting committed entrepreneurs and contributing to a fairer society. Work is a major issue that has a decisive impact on the quality of life of the French. On the one hand, access to work for people who are far from it and the possibility of progressing in it. On the other, the problems that can arise from complex environments (burn-out, harassment, tension during takeovers, etc.).
“We met the managers of AlterNego during a benchmark to support our participations on the subject of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I). We were impressed by their expertise in training managers in D&I and by their know-how in preventing suffering at work and, more generally, by their competence in social dialogue” Amance Pélissier, Deputy Director
“Alternego is opening up its capital for the first time and we are happy to accompany them in this new phase of development. All the indicators are green to increase the social and economic impact: a high-flying team, a differentiating, expert and complete offer and a market in the process of consolidation. Abderzak Sifer, Associate Director
